Abstract

The article presents methods for testing the mechanical properties of concretes used in 3D printing technology in accordance with the Chinese standard T/CBMF 183‑2022. It discusses procedures for sampling taken directly from printed qualification elements as well as methods for determining their mechanical characteristics. The methodology for specimen preparation is presented depending on the characteristics of the printed element, along with testing procedures and acceptance criteria of results. The proposed testing methods enable a comprehensive assessment of key properties affecting the performance of printed structures, taking into account interlayer bonding as well as the mechanical parameters of individual layers. Due to the lack of national standards and guidelines related to this topic, the testing methods presented in the standard may serve as a basis for adaptation for the purpose of conducting in house laboratory evaluations of printed elements.
