Analiza sieci współwystępowania pojęć ujawniła silną integrację ekosystemu technologicznego – centralną pozycję zajmują AI, internet rzeczy (IoT) i cyfrowe bliźniaki (centralność >0,75), podczas gdy AR/VR funkcjonują jako narzędzia wizualne, a technologie pomiarowe charakteryzuje niższa centralność (~0,45). Na podstawie wyników zarekomendowano: dalszy rozwój integracji AI z BIM i cyfrowymi bliźniakami, rozszerzenie wykorzystania AR/VR, monitorowanie potencjału UAV i  projektowania parametrycznego oraz wdrażanie IoT w celu poprawy efektywności operacyjnej.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to identify current trends and directions in the development of digital technologies in construction, with particular emphasis on their integration with BIM (building information modelling) methodology based on a  comprehensive review of scientific literature. The analysis was conducted based on the Scopus database, covering 22,876 scientific articles in the field of engineering. The results indicate that AI, BIM and digital twin technologies are the main pillars of innovation, showing the highest frequency and degree of integration with other solutions. Augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) are developing dynamically, serving as interfaces that support visualisation and interaction with data. An analysis of the co-occurrence network revealed a strong integration of the technological ecosystem, with AI, IoT and digital twin occupying a central position (centrality > 0.75), while AR/VR function as visual tools and measurement technologies are characterised by lower centrality (~0.45). Based on the results, the following recommendations were made: further development of AI integration with BIM and digital twin, expansion of AR/VR use, monitoring of the potential of UAVs and parametric design, and implementation of IoT to improve operational eficiency.
